01 · Arrival
A quiet street, and a red sign.
The riad stands on rue Iran in the Océan quarter, the district that grew between the medina walls and the Atlantic. Look for the painted sign and the lacquered door; the medina gate of Bab Laalou is about 170 metres away.

02 · The patio
Red cedar doors round a white patio.
Built in the 1930s, among the first houses of the Océan district, and renovated around what was already there: carved cedar doors lacquered red, handcrafted zellige, horseshoe arches, a checkerboard floor and a skylit void you look down into from the galleries.
03 · Seven doors
Seven rooms, each named after a place in Rabat.
From a 19 m² double opening onto the patio to a suite of more than 70 m² with two bedrooms. Every room has its own shower room, a TV, air-conditioning and heating.
